Ideal for identifying potential areas where pets have been marking and other urine stains that are invisible to the naked eye. Once found the deposits can be eliminated permanently with Enzyme Wizard Urine Stain & Odour Remover, Bio Natural Solutions Wee Off, or Turf Blitz for artificial grass. How to UseTo use the Urine Detector Torch for the first time, unscrew the switch end cap and insert 3 x AAA batteries. So that you will know exactly what urine looks like under UV light, take the torch into the bathroom and darken the room. Shine the UV light around the toilet, especially around the seat hinges and the outside front of the toilet bowl. Even the cleanest bathroom will show glowing yellow urine crystals, because ordinary cleaners simply do not dissolve them. Now you’re ready to inspect everywhere that you suspect might have been contaminated with urine. In each room, close the curtains / blinds as necessary to make the area you want to inspect easy to see under the UV light. How can I tell what is urine and what is not? The colour will be the first clue, together with common sense and sometimes your sense of smell. You probably have a good idea where the cat, or dog has been, or the baby, or the elderly family member who has had an accident. The UV light will confirm the location and indicate some spots you would never have found otherwise. Common sense will tell you that fluorescence high on a wall is probably not urine. However, a puddle-shaped area on the floor near the cat’s litter tray probably is urine. It would probably also be urine if there was a yellow glow underneath the baby’s cot mattress, or an incontinent family member’s favourite chair. Once all the affected areas have been located, they can be marked with masking tape or by some other means so that they can be found and treated with Enzyme Wizard Urine Stain & Odour Remover in daylight, or with the lights turned on.
